HOW DO I APPLY FOR A CONTRADO STUDENT DISCOUNT?
Before placing your order, you will need to create an account and then select the student tab. Complete the fields that are presented to you.

1. Enter your name
2. Upload your document that proves you're a student
3. Let us know the name of the institute you're a student at
4. Tell us how long your proof is valid for
- Remember that your proof of eligibility needs to be dated
We will then look at this information and if everything is alright then we'll approve your application. Once active, you'll be able to access your student discount as long as you are logged in.
Please note that you will only be able to have either a wholesale account or a student account. Applying for the other will cancel the one that you already have.
WHAT IS THE ACADEMIC CONTRADO STUDENT DISCOUNT?
If you're a student based in New Zealand, enjoy a 20% discount on all your fabric orders. We want nothing more than a world filled with colour and beautiful design, so we are offering great discounts on not only fabric, but labels, tags and even your own portfolio. We print your custom designs onto 141 different fabrics using specialist techniques. With no minimum orders and extra quantity discounts if you need to order in bulk, your Contrado Academic Student Discount can be used with:
- Fabric printing (excluding test prints & hemmed fabrics)
- Custom fabric labels
- Paper swing tags
- Leather swing tags
- Lookbooks
- Transfer paper
WHAT IS THE SITEWIDE SHOPPING CONTRADO STUDENT DISCOUNT?
As well as the 20% academic discount, all students will also be eligible to receive a 20% shopping discount which applies sitewide. This 20% Student Shopping Discount applies to the Contrado ranges of clothing, homeware and stationery. In fact, the list is so extensive that it is easier to tell you the very few things it doesn't apply to:
20% Student Discount is not valid on the following IDs
- 317 - Canvas Prints
- 1664 - Suitcases
- 106, 276, 1413, 1448, 2903, 2904 - Gift Vouchers
- 2898, 2797 - Remnants
- 1729, 1711, 1657 - Sample Packs
- 2940 - Face Masks
- 122, 123, 124, 125 - Additional Fees
WHAT IF I'M A STUDENT OUTSIDE OF NEW ZEALAND?
For students located outside of New Zealand, you will be able to apply for a student account and receive your student discounts although these will be set at a different rate. This is a 40% academic discount for the UK, a 30% academic discount for the US and Canada, and 20% academic discount for the rest of the world, with a minimum cart value of $40 or equivalent. The 20% shopping discount will remain the same 20% for all students, everywhere.
BEFORE ORDERING

information (very important). You can find this information in the
“Print Guidelines” tab, where you can also find a short video on how to
use our design interface.
Make sure delivery is set to your main delivery address. You may change your main delivery address; however, you can't share your account or access as this is in breach of your Student Account T&Cs and your account would be terminated.
I'VE FORGOTTEN TO LOG IN TO MY STUDENT ACCOUNT CODE BEFORE PAYING
If you proceed through payment without logging in and applying your student discount code, unfortunately, it is too late to deduct this afterwards. If it is within 30 minutes you may be able to cancel your order and then reorder from your account. Please check out our terms and conditions for more information on order cancellations.
DO YOU OFFER STUDENT DISCOUNT FOR FABRIC SAMPLES?
The student discount can't be used for fabric samples. However, if you are ordering multiple samples then you will find that our quantity discount will apply. This is automatic and will save you almost half your basket price.
I HAVE A STUDENT DEADLINE; CAN YOU MAKE IT QUICKER?
We offer very quick production times and most of our orders are completed and shipped within our estimated production times. This speedy turnaround of 1 - 2 days on average, when paired with our fast delivery option will allow you to receive your order extremely quickly. We advise where possible to order within plenty of time and take into consideration production times. We do state these on each page to try and help you plan.
